John J. Cope, licensed in 1993, is authorized to practice in Texas state courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.  Mr. Cope is a graduate of The University of Texas School of Law where he received a Dean's Achievement Award in Insurance Law.  He is a former senior real estate lending officer who specialized in residential interim construction.  A seven-year felony prosecutor with the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office, Mr. Cope has extensive trial experience that includes non-death penalty capital murder.  He concentrates his practice in the areas of residential construction litigation, insurance defense, commercial liability, and debtor-creditor disputes.
